The old site is STILL THERE.  Tomorrow, I am going to be e-mailing a certain computer guy who has clearly forgotten all about it.  I am still getting hits from people who are assumingly checking the old site every day in hopes that a new comic will appear; these people don’t seem to have realised yet that they can click on “Comments” and find out what is happening (probably because they’re not psychic.  It’s really too bad when people aren’t psychic).  Just in case some of them do eventually turn up here:  hi, frustrated people.  Due to both machine and human error, I now have absolutely no way of editing the old site and have thus set up a NEW site.  With luck, the old site will eventually be replaced by redirects.  For now, though, I really hope you see this message and follow it to http://www.westofbathurst.com, http://www.westofbathurst.ca, or http://www.masseycollege.ca/alumni/westofbathurst (you pick).

No luck yet on getting rid of the old site, which is still merrily confusing the hell out of a whole bunch of people.

Reminder:  http://www.westofbathurst.com and http://www.westofbathurst.ca now lead directly to the comic.  The latter has been modified so that it is possible to link to individual pages (before today, every page showed up as http://www.westofbathurst.ca).

Update on Silly Site Situation

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kari Maaren @ 6:55 am

1)  The WoB site’s address is now http://www.masseycollege.ca/alumni/westofbathurst.  If you tack on the “.html,” you’ll be redirected to the correct page.

2)  http://www.westofbathurst.com and http://www.westofbathurst.ca now both work.

3)  The old site is back, unfortunately, and I can`t get rid of it or edit it at all because the files have vanished.  They are somewhere; I just don`t know where.  People are working on it.  With great good luck, the files will eventually all be replaced with redirects (to the alumni site`s home page).

4)  The IT guys who caused all the problems in the first place (or, at least, neglected the hell out of them until they became intolerable) are gone now.  And there was great rejoicing.

5)  Thank you for your patience.  I have no patience, so it is good that you do.
